The power has been beefed up to 50w into 4 ohms. The two high-impedance inputs (one switchable to accept a line-level input) share that beautifully warm AER EQ and classic Digital reverb. The new chassis is the same size as a Compact60 but with a new metall grille that makes this amp look somehow meaner. The Alpha Plus really does reinforce the starting point and is available now.

AER Compact Classic Pro Twin Channel Acoustic Amplifier, 60 watts. Feature-packed, 32bit Digital presets twin-core speakers.	The Compact Classic targets at classical players and their instruments. Based on the Compact 60 power amp the Compact Classic benefits from an improved 2-way-speaker system, a more complex three band EQ with parametric bass and the use of the AER 32bit effects-processor with carefully designed presets for classical instruments. All features combine nicely to more easily follow the finer tonal texture of a classical instrument throughout the full audio band, enhance the low frequency response without increasing the feedback risk and create beautiful ambiences that support the tone. How do we maintain the sound quality with its clarity and presence which is characteristic for AER? We jibbed at the thought knowing that an instrument does not sound the same when it is reproduced by a different speaker/amplifier system. Finding an acoustic system, tuning it to match all registers does not happen accidentally! (But than,) some solutions are found easier than expected - why not double? Thus the Domino consists of two Compacts, two 8"-twin-cone speaker-systems, two times 60 watts, four channels, 16 digital effects, plus introducing the possibility to link via insert, mute channels and connect a full range-system for PA via pre-master-outs. AER becomes a complete system that couples stage and environment. The idea is a success. AER won the MIPA Award 2001 for the best acoustic guitar amp.
